Rylee's School Program

Rylee had her music program for school last night. It was all about bugs, and sooo adorable! She has been singing the songs for months and it was fun to see it all put together. She was a boll weevil. (Who even thinks of that?) So being the crafty person that I am...(hint of sarcasm there) I actually sewed these cotton balls all over the front and back of this shirt. I was pretty proud of myself...because I really don't sew. The best thing is...they all stayed on! She got to hold cotton candy too. Apparently boll weevils really like cotton. Elementary kids do too because when she got to the school, I thought she was going to get mobbed for it. A bunch of kids in her classroom cornered her, but she's pretty slick and got out of it with the full cotton candy for the program! Go Rylee! Anyway, she had a cute little part and said it perfectly. We went out for ice cream after and then came home to catch the rest of American Idol. It was a fun night! Great job Roo!

Happy 1st Birthday Kamryn!

Happy, Happy Birthday to my little love bug! We have been smitten with her since the second we saw her! She is such a precious, happy, fun baby! She loves to laugh, loves to play, loves to copy everything we do! She does the hand movements to about 5 or 6 different songs. She is a Chatty Cathy with her own little adorable language. She adores her sisters and lights up everytime they are around. She has started giving big hugs. She loves to snuggle. She is almost walking, but pretty content with crawling! We could not be happier with this little one. We feel so blessed to be trusted to take care of such a precious child.

She loved pulling down the decorations after the party

Vegas...for kids?....not so much

So Jason's company was paying for his hotel for a Vegas selling trip. Since it was Spring Break, I thought it would be fun to take the girls. Well, let's just say, we did pull it off and ended up having fun...but we WON'T be doing that again! Vegas is not for kids!!! Duh me!!!! The good thing is we got to see my cousin Keri, who I haven't seen forever! That made the whole trip worth it!

We went to Hard Rock the first night. We had a lot of fun! The girls loved it!

They didn't love KISS very much though. They were really freaked out! It was all I could do to get them to stand this close! Wish I could say this was the scariest thing we saw all week...

The girls had a blast at Circus Circus. The two older girls rode the big rides together and Morgie rode the little rides and was perfectly happy with that! Kamryn was just happy to be a part of the party!

Vegas has a great Children's Museum. The girls and I spent over four hours there. They had tons of hands on experiments for the girls to participate in. We didn't want to leave!

Yes, this is a real bubble. This was my favorite part! I want one at my house! :)
Cute sisters!

This was a hurricane wind tunnel. Wind got up to 80 MPH. They did this about 5 times!

There were activities for all of them! I loved letting Kam explore!

Best Date Ever!!!!

Thanks to my sister's suggestion, last weekend Jason and I seriously had the BEST DATE EVER!!!! We went with some fun friends to Tempe Town Lake and rode our bikes around the lake. There is a trail around the entire lake that is paved and lit up. There are two bridges that are completely lit up and absolutely beautiful. We rode around the lake and then across one of the bridges to go to Mill Ave and find something to eat. Then we just cruised around the lake some more. It does not feel like you are in Arizona when you are there at night. We were pretending we were riding on the boardwalk by the ocean in California! It helped that we went with a couple who loves to laugh and be crazy and have a great time! They had the sweetest cruiser bikes that were all decked out and we honked our horns at everyone that we passed. Even the car ride to find ice cream after was a blast. Honestly, I have not laughed that hard in soooo long. We all were laughing so hard that our stomachs seriously hurt! I'm so glad we did this! I can't wait to go again! The next day I got my cruiser bike! I'm in love! It's just more fun for that kind of riding than a mountain bike is! Jason said that as soon as I got on the bike, I got a permagrin that hasn't gone away. What is it about riding around town on a cruiser that makes you feel so happy? So here's to many more bike rides!!!

More to come....

All I can say is this has been an adventurous, eventful and amazingly fun couple of weeks. I have so much to post about. From trips, to birthdays, to hikes to bike rides...I am loving life right now. The weather is perfect. Everything is in bloom for spring. It's a new beginning and time to clean out the junk in the house as well as inside of myself. I am so grateful for my life and all the wonderful people in my life. I love my hubby and my children so overwhelmingly much! We have such a blast together! I have great friends and I have so many people in my life that I look up to and teach me to be a better person. I have A LOT to learn! Who knows what tomorrow will bring, but today...I am soaking in all the happiness I can. I will post more specifically this week about all the events when I get a little time, but for now....ta ta!!!

Camelback Hike

This morning I went on a fantastic hike to the top of Camelback Mountain with my sister Christine. We got up really early and the weather was PERFECT!! It was a steep hike...aka great workout! It was also gorgeous. The views were fantastic and we didn't even have to dodge cactus! Woohoo! Now that's my kind of hike! On the way up, we saw this little old man coming down the mountain. He said hello and was so nice. When we were coming down, we saw him coming back up the mountain. He said that he was going up for the third time...four hours. Now, that's a great way to spend a day! You go man!!!

Cute Sisters

I just really like this picture. This is how happy Kamryn is every time she is around her sisters. We found this hat of Taylor's when we were organizing storage in the garage. So cute! Who knew this little munchkin would wear it one day!

Getting Out

I have been going a little stir crazy lately. After much thought, I came to a conclusion. I don't get outside enough. Not just outside, but out in nature. I LOVE hiking and LOVE being in mountains and canyons. So, I decided to get a hiking backpack so the baby and I can go whenever we want. Since the beautiful trees and canyons are hard to come by here, I will settle for dirt and cactus, with an occasional sage brush. It still is pretty in it's own right. I have only used it once so far...but that's a good start. I went with a couple of my sisters and my niece with her brand new baby. We had a lot of fun! We even got a little lost at the end because we hiked a loop and it didn't come out to the same parking lot. We even left the map in the car. Apparently, I should have taken a responsible hiking course before embarking on this adventure! Thanks to our superior navigating skills, we found the car and made it home on time to get the kids from school! I am taking the kids next week for spring break. We will see how it goes!
