Let's talk sports and other random events

Basically this post will sum up some of our activities in the last month or two.  All three girls have been participating in sports.  It's so fun to take everyone because the kids can just run around and have a blast.  I love the energy of the whole experience.  This is basically what Kamryn does....eats popcorn and runs around not sharing the ball.  ha ha!!  So funny!  She'll learn!

Jason caught Kam in a snooze one day while I was gone.  Apparently she was playing a fun game before she couldn't stay awake anymore.  I love how kids can fall asleep anywhere, doing anything.  Sometimes I wish it was that easy for me. :)

These two pictures are of a great double date we had with our friends Kris and Tiersa.  Isn't she darling?  We have a blast with them and we laugh so hard when we are together.  It's nice to have friends where we both get along with the spouses.  Jason and I rode our bikes around Tempe Town Lake and our friends rode their long boards.  Then we went to Tempe Marketplace for dinner and to hang out.  It was a great night until we went back to unlock mine and Jason's bikes to go home.  Our lock had been cut and Jason's bike had been stolen.  Mine was sitting there unlocked for who knows how long.  It's just a thing, but it was still frustrating because there are people out there who just think they can take whatever isn't theirs, even when it's locked.  We have been looking and they don't make his bike anymore, so it's been quite an ordeal.  I'm glad Jason stays calm and collected in situations like these.  He's not happy about it, but he takes it in stride.  Such a cool guy!

Morgan started soccer.  She has all boys on her team.  She is having fun and loving it.  Rylee also started soccer on an older team, but I didn't get any pics of her...yet.  I love that they work up a sweat and work their hardest.

Morgan was awarded a "Mathlete" award at school.  The 2nd graders have tests of 100 problems they take in 4 minutes and they have to get 100%.  Morgan passed 1st and 2nd addition and now has passed the first subtraction.  Not so easy!  She worked so hard!  We met her for lunch at school and that's when they handed out the awards.  She got loud cheers from all of her classmates.  Good job Morgan!
Taylor just finished and is starting another volleyball season.  Here she is at Open Gym playing with her best friend and with Rylee.  She loves it and wants to continue.  I'm not going to lie, I am ecstatic about it.  She improved so much in just one season.  I can't wait to see her improve even more.  I must say that my favorite new past time is watching my kids play sports!  I could do it all day long!

Activity Days Achievement Night

"HAPPY TO BE ME"

That was the theme of our Activity Days Achievement Night. I am in charge of the 10-11 year old girls. We plan two activities a month and then once a year they have this Achievement Night. I was in charge of the food table with another lady and it turned out sooo cute!~ There was a short program and each girl stood up and said why they were "Happy to be me". They also got to bring some things that describe them and set them up on display.
My cute little beehive cake

Should've taken a closer pic...oops

I think this kid enjoyed it too!

We recorded a video of Rylee singing.  She brought piano books and trophies and pancake mix because she likes to cook with her momma.  Also, President Monson, who she has hanging on her wall next to her bed.

Taylor is a new, huge fan of volleyball.  She also brought piano awards and pictures of her favorite animal, the tiger.  She can't wait for the millenium because she wants to have a tiger as a pet. :)

Halloween 2012

This Halloween, with our kids a little older, Trick or Treating was a blast! Our neighborhood is very dead on Halloween, so we drove over to the park by our house and hit the neighborhood just across the street. It was fantastic! So many people, decorations and just perfect weather. Such fun! The Saturday before was our Trunk or Treat. The hit of our car was a huge spider Jason had hanging from fishing line. He would tug on it and it would jump out at people. Pretty funny. There was a 2 year old who played with it all night. Overall, it was a great Halloween and the kids looked awesome!!!

"Love" Thoughts, By an 8 year old

We have a jar filled with "Love" thoughts for the month of February, courtesy of my 8 year old. Today's thought, "Even though your stuffed animals aren't real, you should love them too."

Piano Recital

Taylor and Rylee had a piano recital, called Marathon of Music, in October 2011. The kids could choose to wear their Halloween costume or not. Piano students from all over the valley played at the different malls in the area. The girls did a fantastic job. They played at a grand piano in an open courtyard with people walking by. It was pretty cool. At the end, Morgan asked if she could play a song that Rylee taught her. Mrs. Faler was so sweet and announced that she had a special number for everyone. Morgan, who has never taken piano, got up there and played the song, "Halloween" like a champ. Then she stood up, took her bow and came to sit down perfectly. Wowza! She is not afraid of anything! I love that Morgan has confidence in herself. I love that she is strong, and just does her own thing. I know it will serve her well in her life. I need to get this girl performing! No stage fright here!!

The girl's adorable teacher

Thanks for coming Gram!

Cute Morgie!

Finally got some smiles! Yay!

Cute Randoms of Kam

Who needs a mud run, when you've got black beans for lunch! Not as hard to do, and you get just as messy! It's so funny to see the change from my first child to my fourth. Taylor never, and still never likes to be dirty. Apparently, Kam doesn't share that same trait. The dirtier the better. Also, after four, I say, whatever makes 'em happiest! Ha ha!

Who says hand me downs aren't fantastic?!! We made a great discovery of the hot pink cowgirl boots that have made their way through all the girls now. Kamryn thinks they are fantastic!!!....most of the time!! They were a little big in these pics, but now she is fitting into them great! She even found a matching hot pink purse! Who doesn't like a great purse and some great boots! Sure makes me happy too!

And finally just some other cute, random pictures of my baby! I am still so in love with this girl! I'm glad that we get to hang out everyday! She is my little buddy!

Rylee's Baptism

Rylee had her baptism in August 2011. We had family come in from California and Utah for it. I think that it was the most spiritual baptism I have ever been to. When Jason baptized her, you could feel it so strong. She even got emotional. There is really something special inside this little girl. She has such a tender little spirit. I was emotional the whole time, which hadn't happened in a long time. I was so proud of Taylor because she sang a song with Aunt Laurie and did amazing!! The talks were by Grandma Gloria and Hayli, her cousin. They were awesome! We are very proud of Rylee. She is such a good, good, fun, affectionate, sweet, happy, loving girl. She is a true light. She can always make me smile. I love her! Can you tell?
