HOOVER DAM
We went through Vegas on our road trip home to avoid snow storms. It was a little longer, but the kids had never seen Hoover Dam. We had to wait for over an hour, just to cross the dam, because of construction, but it was awesome. The new things they are building are breathtaking! We didn't get out of the car because it was so crowded, so all of our pictures are "on the move".
This arch is what they are working on. There is a really long ladder to get up to the top. There were workers walking around at the top with their harnesses on. It was pretty cool to see it in progress! Now THAT would be a crazy job!
Taylor was standing up taking pictures out of the sunroof. We were going slow, so we thought it would be fun! It was fun until a cop pulled out behind us and got over his speaker to tell us to get our child back in the car! So much for that fun! Jason and I thought it was funny, but I think Taylor was a little scared! Breakin' the Law! Breakin' the Law!
Sledding!
Right up the hill from my dad's house is a school that has AMAZING sledding hills! Steep and fun, but not to overcrowded and scary! It was hilarious to watch the kid's different personalities in the snow! We gave the MVP award to Morgan though! She was a complete daredevil and loved every second of it. Before the rest of us were out of the car, Morgan had already grabbed a sled and was going down a hill by herself! She LOVES the snow. She had it all in her hair and down her coat and she didn't care! It was heartwarming to see her so happy! Rylee and Taylor also had a blast! Taylor was a little hesitant and a lot more cautious. She has always been that way. Once she warmed up, she loved it...until she wrecked at the end. We were proud of her first black eye!
CHRISTMAS UTAH TRIP
This year for Christmas we went to Utah to be with both mine and Jason's family. It was such a fun trip! We stayed with my Dad and Trudy, which is always so comfy and perfect! We had a great Christmas morning with them and then playing Wii with Dee and Zac! Can we say... "addicted" to Wii Sports Resort?! We spent Christmas Eve and most of our time with Jason's family, since everyone traveled into town or lives there now. We had wonderful food, played games and laughed a ton! They are so much fun to be around! The cousins had a great time together and the kids had a BLAST in the snow! The timing of the trip was a little crazy for us this year, but we are so glad that we went! We loved spending time with both families and will treasure the memories!!
Daddy helping Morgan finish her yummy Christmas Eve traditional Armstrong dinner. He looks really happy doesn't he?
